Chris, aka Thorfinn
Chris designs the tools and the tools to make the tools, and oversees the making of everything. He is also the only one allowed to use the wood burning tool...as you can see! ; )
Assim, aka Comb Gnome
Assim works hard in the shop (as all good Comb Gnomes do!) assisting Chris with the making of the combs. After he assembles each comb, he tweaks the tines and creates the slight bend at the top, as he is doing in the picture.
Kimberly, aka The Natural Spinner
Kimberly manages the website, Ravelry group and responds to any questions you may have, be it about an order, which combs are right for you or fiber prep questions.
She's a bonafide fiber junkie, especially raw fleece! After buying a set of combs that weren't Valkyrie and not being particularly happy with them, she searched for a new pair and came across Valkyrie. She has never looked back and is one of Valkyrie's biggest fans!
She mostly spins lace and has won numerous awards for her handspun yarns. She also teaches fiber prep and spinning at fiber festivals and for her local guilds.
She has a YouTube channel, The Natural Spinner, featuring Valkyrie combs and a website thenaturalspinner.com.
She will be teaching a combing class at the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival in May of 2024.
