History

This is something we'll be working on to give you some insight into how Valkyrie Tools, which started out as Valkyrie Supply, got started and how things have changed through the years.

**

~ 1990: Chris was at Pennsic at a household meeting. One of the members showed up with wool combs and was excited to have found a pair there in a vendor booth. Hearing they were hard to find and what she paid for them, Chris offered to make her a pair. Encouraged by that friend, Chris started his journey into comb making.
After making several pairs, he got a booth at the NH Sheep and Wool Festival in New Boston, NH (now located in Deerfield, NH). He sold a few pairs and also learned how to actually use them. The Viking size were the original size he made.
At some point is was suggested he make a smaller pair and the Fines were born.
He made combs for a few years, then took a hiatus for about 5 years years because life got busy. Encouraged by friends, he started making them again.

2012: Assim started working for Valkyrie.

Trying to capture this info before Chris' memory fades!
Stay tuned for more updates...
